The problem is about secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open or change control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty is the final reason of the code. |
06498 Possible Causes:
06498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06498 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
