This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle actuator control module, performance or potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), signal too high is the final reason of the code. |
06496 Possible Causes:
06496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06496 Code
- Inspect all the connections interference in mechatronic module
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
