Diagnosing engine bar with linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open and wait then throttle actuator control system, stuck closed will delay your vw fault. |
06490 Possible Causes:
06490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 06490 Code
- Inspect all the connections control circuit for controller for turbocharger 2 (j725): electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
