06489 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with control module defective retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, implausible message of the abs control module and wait then pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
06489 Possible Causes:
06489 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 06489 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, tension too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
