Staring in engine auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor control module defective and valve for coolant system circuit, high will delay your vw fault. |
06462 Possible Causes:
06462 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 06462 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
