06460 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defect It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake crankshaft position signal output, circuit / open and exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
06460 Possible Causes:
06460 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06460 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
