This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner control, default not reached the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle actuator control system, forced engine shutdown or nox sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
06448 Possible Causes:
06448 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06448 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
