06442 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 1 run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed coolant pump control, circuit / open or fuel pump "b" control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
06442 Possible Causes:
06442 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06442 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
