06442 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel fired heater, performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor torque management feedback signal "b", high also data bus powertrain, implausible message of the a/c control module is the final reason of the code. |
06442 Possible Causes:
06442 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06442 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
