06406 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with ignition switch run position, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too low you can see the kick-down switches (f8) implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
06406 Possible Causes:
06406 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 06406 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
