Staring in engine cylinder 3 above knock threshold mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck closed and hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), lower limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
06405 Possible Causes:
06405 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06405 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
