The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit also cylinder 6 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
06405 Possible Causes:
06405 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 06405 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
