Staring in engine exhaust bank 2 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197) or change exhaust bank 3, probe 1 no activity is the final reason of the code. |
06402 Possible Causes:
06402 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06402 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor out of range during deceleration bank 1 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
