This code were stamped on VW Engine case low pressure fuel system sensor (g410), circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground or reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit high is the final reason of the code. |

06400 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 06400 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
