This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles control module defective or intake manifold runner control, basic setting not completed is the final reason of the code. |
06340 Possible Causes:
06340 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 06340 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
