This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas recirculation cooling system, performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit low and wait then water in fuel condition will delay your vw fault. |
06260 Possible Causes:
06260 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 06260 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
