When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, high or valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
06238 Possible Causes:
06238 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06238 Code
- Inspect all the connections actuator supply voltage "b", circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
