Staring in engine signal for back-up lights, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'c' primary control, short to plus . So for next ignition coil 'f' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
06218 Possible Causes:
06218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06218 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
