This code were stamped on VW Engine case data bus powertrain, missing message for central electric controller run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit or exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, rich control limit exceeded is the final reason of the code. |

06178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06178 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), circuit low input
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
