This code were stamped on VW Engine case hydraulic pressure sensor 1, range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground and fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
06173 Possible Causes:
06173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
