Staring in engine hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2 run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground or change exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, electrical error in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code. |
06172 Possible Causes:
06172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 06172 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, circuit high bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
