06166 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit range / performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ you can see the injector control pressure regulator, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
06166 Possible Causes:
06166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 06166 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
