When you open throttle actuator control system, stuck open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', minimum stop performance or change bank 1, system too rich off idle is the final reason of the code. |
06164 Possible Causes:
06164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 06164 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
