Diagnosing engine bar with ignition coil 'a' primary control, short to plus It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground and secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |
06164 Possible Causes:
06164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06164 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
