06161 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module, coding fault It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal also please check dtc memory of air condition ecu is the final reason of the code. |
06161 Possible Causes:
06161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06161 Code
- Inspect all the connections mil control circuit, open / short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
