06161 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 1 and coolant pump control, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
06161 Possible Causes:
06161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 06161 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
