06142 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault injector cylinder 16 (n393), circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'a rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open or transmission temperature control is the final reason of the code. |
06142 Possible Causes:
06142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06142 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
