06142 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), electrical malfunction or change coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
06142 Possible Causes:
06142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06142 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
