This code were stamped on VW Engine case engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent you can see the secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck on will delay your vw fault. |
06118 Possible Causes:
06118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 06118 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
