This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module for coolant fan 3 fan activation, short circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit high voltage or load signal stuck on will delay your vw fault. |
061 Possible Causes:
061 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 061 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
