This code were stamped on VW Engine case air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high . On the other hand cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance is the final reason of the code. |
06088 Possible Causes:
06088 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06088 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
