06078 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'f' secondary circuit, malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system bank 1, system too rich at idle and injection pump, timing calibration not learned is the final reason of the code. |
06078 Possible Causes:
06078 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 06078 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
