When you open oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit . So for next fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
05996 Possible Causes:
05996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 05996 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from acceleration request
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
