The problem is about 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit high and wait then vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
05990 Possible Causes:
05990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 05990 Code
- Inspect all the connections friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
