This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve 2 for load pressure control (n274), short-circuit after pluses or fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
05987 Possible Causes:
05987 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05987 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
