The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high also engine torque reduction, fault is the final reason of the code. |

05984 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 05984 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
