The problem is about secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck on retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit low and performance malfunction in cooling system will delay your vw fault. |
05967 Possible Causes:
05967 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 05967 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission control unit (j217), programming error
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
