This something to do with the intake camshaft timing mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, heater circuit achievement too small and cylinder 12 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
05962 Possible Causes:
05962 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 05962 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
