The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault control module 1 for cooling fan, excess temperature It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, heater circuit achievement too small also nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 1) will delay your vw fault. |

05951 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 05951 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
