Staring in engine transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low and pressure control solenoid 1 (n215), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
05942 Possible Causes:
05942 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 05942 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
