This something to do with the intake camshaft timing combustion detection during deceleration retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible . On the other hand data bus powertrain, missing message from central electronics is the final reason of the code. |
05898 Possible Causes:
05898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05898 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
