Staring in engine a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed please check dtc memory of transmission ecu or ignition coil 'd' primary control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
05889 Possible Causes:
05889 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 05889 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
