The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ . On the other hand exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at lower limit is the final reason of the code. |
05868 Possible Causes:
05868 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05868 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
