Staring in engine secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'i' primary control, short to plus or cylinder 8 injector, data incompatible will delay your vw fault. |
05864 Possible Causes:
05864 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05864 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
