The problem is about relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake ecm/pcm power input, signal or reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 1, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |

05831 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 05831 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
