When you open turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ . On the other hand power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
05818 Possible Causes:
05818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05818 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
