The problem is about exhaust gas temperature bank 1, too high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle also engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit is the final reason of the code. |
05798 Possible Causes:
05798 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05798 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
