05616 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1 or auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
05616 Possible Causes:
05616 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 05616 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
