05589 Possible Causes:
05589 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05589 Code
- Inspect all the connections butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
