This something to do with the intake camshaft timing shift lock, malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more control module 2 for cooling fan, short circuit and exhaust gas recirculation system performance is the final reason of the code. |
05587 Possible Causes:
05587 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05587 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
