The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground you can see the control module defective will delay your vw fault. |

05578 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05578 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g300), interruption / short-circuit to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
