This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so injection pump timing offset or data bus powertrain missing message from awd controller will delay your vw fault. |
05557 Possible Causes:
05557 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 05557 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
