The problem is about fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance . On the other hand coolant pump control, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
05518 Possible Causes:
05518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 05518 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug/heater relay circuit, electrical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
