The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault power supply voltage, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', minimum stop performance . On the other hand please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu is the final reason of the code. |
05518 Possible Causes:
05518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 05518 Code
- Inspect all the connections vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
