05507 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle actuator control motor current, range / performance also throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
05507 Possible Causes:
05507 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05507 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
