This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission control unit relay, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to ground and control module 1 for cooling fan, short circuit will delay your vw fault. |
05503 Possible Causes:
05503 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05503 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at lower limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
